well good its about time someone needs to that job especially for some of those movies that are so expensive to watch but are worthless. And some restaurants here could look nice but the food is really lousy. Nice to know someone is willing to be the guinea pig. Good idea.

Please excuse my tardiness on this page, its just I've only frequented one movie and one restaurant since we began the Blog. I know, rather boring huh? Oh Well, here goes the critique on my experience. It was DINNER and a MOVIE, wow, how original. A bit of sarcasm there.

DINNER: Osuka Japanese Sushi

MOVIE:Eastern Promises
starring Viggo Mortensen

Osuka Japanese Sushi in McAllen, on North 10th street just south of the HEB on the corner of Trenton and 10th.

RIVALS:I've had better sushi rolls at KATOs in Edinburg's Cornerstone Strip by Cornerstone Grill on the corner of trenton and McColl.

FOOD: sushi rolls-ok, I've had better. Not much of a variety.

SERVICE: On a scale from 1-3, 1-poor, 3-excellent I'd give there service a 1&1/2

BUDGET: VERY PRICEY, a couple will look to be spending no less than $30 granted you leave at least a 12-15% tip. Have at least 2 drinks.

EASTERN PROMISES
Viggo Mortensen really pulls it off as a Russian.
Good Picture.
Interesting Story.
This MOB isn't a classy Italian type, but it'll keep you wondering whats going to happen next. Ladies will wonder what happend to the Chisled face and long hair of Viggo from Lord of the Rings and instead be seeing Viggo as a Cross between an Early Way too skinny Elvis (hair do)meets LA ink (a lot of tattoos). All in all it was an awesome story line and a good date movie.

1 thumb up for the food
2 thumbs up for the movie

warning: this movie is more of a dude movie. But it also works as a date movie.
